ROC OTX provides individualized, child and family-centered in-home therapy to empower children to reach their highest potential.

Our collaborative and upbeat approach brings positive energy to the individualized treatment of the unique needs of every child. Let’s work together to enhance your child’s skills, improve their confidence, and increase their independence. The diagnoses we treat include, but are not limited to:

  • Developmental Disabilities
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Down Syndrome and other genetic disorders
  • Cerebral Palsy and other neurological diagnoses
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Delayed coordination
  • Upper extremity (shoulder, arm, hand) injuries.
  • Generalized Weakness

Early Intervention

To determine if your child is a candidate for early intervention, we will perform assessments to identify issues. Then, we will work with you to set goals and create a plan for your child to reach developmental milestones. We are contracted with Developmental Pathways to provide services listed on the Individualized Family Service Plan.

Sensory

Sensory processing, attention, and self-regulation issues require a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. We understand how to engage infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults in activities that improve their responses and focus.

Teletherapy

Let’s make all types of learning fun! Teletherapy helps children participate in therapeutic activities from the comfort of their home incorporating their personal toys and household items. Together, we’ll gently foster your child’s growth and capabilities so they can perform their best.

Fine Motor and Visual-Motor Skills

Fine motor and visual-motor skills – from holding a crayon to cutting food – directly impact a child’s independence. We use playful occupational therapy to improve the use and coordination of a child’s hands, wrists, and arms. We provide interventions to improve visual-motor, visual perception, and hand-eye coordination.

Feeding and Eating

Infants, toddlers, and children who struggle with feeding and eating can benefit from supportive on-site therapy. We will assess your child and work to address motor skills, coordination, oral-motor, and sensory issues that could be hindering feeding and mealtime routines.

Self Care

Many children need direction to master self-care activities, such as getting dressed and emotional regulation. We use positive reinforcement and other evidence-based treatment methods to encourage self-care skills and overall well-being. Self-sufficient kids are happy kids!

Amy is a very caring, compassionate, and dedicated professional. My son Parker was in need of some extra help at a young age. My wife and I were unsure what to do, and then Amy entered his life. She was amazing at connecting with my son and us to help diagnose the situation, provide a plan for success, and implement it. Truly a professional. Thank you so much, Amy.

My daughter struggled with some issues at home and preschool. Amy's fun, safe and supportive approach is exactly what she needed. Most importantly, Amy's kindness and encouragement helped me just as much as her expertise helped my daughter gain the skills she needed to thrive in all areas of her life!

Our son has made great progress with his motor skills since working with Amy. He is so much stronger and is so much more willing to try new things. He has so much fun working with Amy! She is a blessing, and we are so grateful for her knowledge and skill as well as her sweet and fun personality.

Amy is a gifted occupational therapist. Her love for her profession and the children she works with is amazing. Her therapy sessions are fun and engaging. She is warm and empathetic, creating an environment to achieve the absolute best outcomes. Amy’s guidance brought out the best in my son and our whole family.

McKenna

Director of Operations

McKenna is the behind-the-scenes magic at RocOTx, ensuring our clinic runs smoothly so our therapists can focus on what matters most—helping children and families thrive. As Director of Operations, she coordinates schedules, streamlines communication, and keeps our team supported and connected every step of the way.

A proud graduate of Iowa State University’s Ivy College of Business, McKenna earned her degree in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship. Her heart has always been drawn to healthcare, and RocOTx gave her the best of both worlds—a mission she’s passionate about and a community she truly loves.

You might find her dropping off Sunflower, our sweet service dog, chatting with families, or quietly making sure our team has everything they need to do their best work. For McKenna, it’s not just about supporting the kids—it’s about walking alongside the families and caregivers who love them.

A fun fact about McKenna: she was born with a rare genetic condition called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, which affects her lungs, sinuses, and ears. Having grown up needing a little extra support herself, she brings deep empathy and understanding to our mission—and a heart that’s fully aligned with the work we do at RocOTx.
